20 clients. One dashboard. One afternoon.
CoralLedger Comply is built for firms that manage VAT compliance for multiple Bahamian businesses.
The Excel Problem Is Getting Worse
Managing 20 clients in Excel means 20 spreadsheets, 20 deadlines to track, 20 chances for error. And with the 2025–2026 VAT reforms — including the April 2026 food exemption — every one of those spreadsheets just got more complicated.
20 Separate Files
Every client has their own workbook. One version-control mistake and you're filing the wrong figures for the wrong period.
20 Deadlines to Chase
VAT deadlines don't cluster — they scatter. Tracking them in a shared calendar means one missed notification away from a late penalty.
20 Chances for Error
Manual apportionment calculations, copy-paste between systems, and no audit trail — the risk compounds with every client you add.
From Client Onboarding to Filed Return — In One Place
Five steps. No spreadsheets. Every client handled the same way, every time.
- Step 1
Add Clients
Create a client workspace in seconds. Each client gets their own isolated environment — transactions, returns, and audit history fully separated.
- 2
Enter or Import Transactions
Key in transactions manually or upload a CSV export. Standard 10%, Reduced 5%, Zero-Rated 0%, and Exempt are supported; CoralLedger Comply surfaces flags and conflicts, and the practitioner confirms every classification.
- 3
Generate VAT Returns
One click prepares a Department of Inland Revenue (DIR)-format VAT return for the selected period. Supporting calculations stay attached in the export package.
- 4
Export for Review
Download the return and full workings package. Share with the client for approval or route to a senior reviewer — no re-keying required.
- 5
Generate Filing Artifacts
CoralLedger Comply generates the complete filing artifact set — DIR-format return, supporting workings, and the immutable audit trail with the §61 acknowledgement event captured at finalisation. You file with the DIR (online portal, in person, or via authorised agent) and record the acknowledgement back into the platform with one click. The full audit defense package is retained for the statutory 7-year period.
Honest about what just happened.
When you click Finalise, CoralLedger Comply doesn't claim it submitted to DIR — because it didn't. You get the complete filing artifact set (DIR-format return, supporting workings, audit trail) and a one-click "Record DIR Acknowledgement" path for when DIR confirms receipt. The platform is honest about the symbolic distinction Bahamian VAT practice requires.
Your Entire Portfolio at a Glance
The Firm Portal shows every client's compliance status, upcoming filing deadlines, and outstanding action items — all in one view. No switching tabs. No status emails.
Built for How Firms Actually Work
Every feature designed around multi-client practice management — not bolted on after the fact.
Batch Filing
Generate and review VAT returns for multiple clients in a single session. Queue returns for approval, export in bulk, and track filing status across the entire portfolio from one screen.
Staff Access Controls
Assign preparer and reviewer roles to team members. Staff see only the clients they're assigned to. Senior partners retain full portfolio visibility and final approval authority.
Client Isolation
Every client's transactions, returns, and audit history are fully isolated. No risk of data bleed between workspaces. Audit trails are per-client and tamper-evident.
Deadline Aggregation
All VAT filing deadlines across your client portfolio surface in a single calendar view. Filter by status — upcoming, overdue, filed — and set automated reminders per client.
Compliance Scoring
A+ to F health grades for every client. Spot filing gaps, missing data, and apportionment anomalies before they turn into penalties or client surprises.
Audit Defense Package
One-click export of the complete evidence set for any client audit: transaction log, rate classifications, and return history — exactly what the DIR asks for.
Signatory Capacity on Every Filing
When a BICA-licensed practitioner approves a return, CoralLedger Comply captures their name and the typed capacity they're acting in — Registered Taxpayer, BICA-Licensed Practitioner, Authorised Employee, or Authorised Agent. The audit trail answers DIR's "who and on what authority" without ambiguity.
Attestation-Aware Filing
When a BICA-licensed practitioner with an active attestation files for a client, CoralLedger Comply auto-prefills the signatory name and capacity. The prefill is correctly scoped — it requires both an active client assignment and an active attestation. Workload assignees who are not the practitioner of record do not receive the BICA-prefill.
This §32 attestation pathway is how complex-supply clients are onboarded for filing: construction contracts with retention, retainer-billed law firms, SaaS subscriptions, and certain real estate-adjacent businesses all follow the same assignment + activation controls before prefill is available.
For rate-change periods, CoralLedger Comply also flags carve-outs that need manual verification:
- Real estate deposits — Deposits received before a rate-change date may span two different VAT periods and rates. CoralLedger Comply flags these deposits for manual review. The practitioner must determine the correct time-of-supply rule before attesting.
- Rate-spanning continuous supplies — A continuous supply that straddles a rate-change date (e.g. a retainer contract that began before April 1, 2026) requires apportionment workings. Comply calculates the apportionment, but the practitioner must verify the contract start date and confirm the split before signing.
Compliance You Can Stand Behind
Built on the VAT Act 2014, every DIR guidance note, and the 2025 reduced-rate amendment and 2026 multi-rate amendment.
VAT Act 2014
Every calculation and classification is grounded in the primary legislation. No shortcuts, no interpretive leaps.
DIR Guidance Notes
All published DIR guidance — including the apportionment methodology — will be built into the engine. Input Tax Apportionment automation is coming soon.
2025 & 2026 Amendments
The April 2026 rate and supply classification changes are supported in-platform. CoralLedger Comply surfaces flags and conflicts, and the practitioner confirms each classification decision.
